Henry A. Lashley
Military service
| Field | Finding |
|---|---|
| Status | Documented Civil War veteran |
| Rank | Soldier |
| Unit | Company F, Lee Battalion, under Capt. L. L. Strozier |
Contemporary obituaries report that Lashley enlisted on April 15, 1863, was wounded at Atlanta, and left active service in August 1864. His Florida pension calls the organization Company F, 25th Georgia Battalion Infantry. The War Department found H. E. rather than Henry A. Lashley in that unit, so the exact compiled-service-file link remains unresolved even though his veteran status is well documented.
Connection to Barney
Henry A. Lashley appears in the Barney-area civil or voter records used by the Barney History Project. The military identification above is limited to facts supported by the cited records.
