Children and Later Trails
This section is reserved for later-life child evidence. No later spouse, death, burial, obituary, probate, separate household, or descendant-line identification has been added here yet from direct records.
Sources still needed
- Primary record for James G. Chambers Sr.'s death in 1906, beyond cemetery and secondary memorial evidence.
- Direct record for Birdie Chambers after the 1880 household, or evidence of death before 1933.
- Primary documentation for the full adult trails of each child listed through Geneanet, especially where Geneanet supplies dates not otherwise proved by census, obituary, death, or cemetery records.
- Deed, tax, or probate record identifying Mrs. J. M. Chambers of Barney and Mrs. J. A. Chambers of Cecil from the 1901 fire item.
- Direct record clarifying the possible Webb-Chambers intermarriage link through Amanda Eveline Chambers and Malinda Webb's family.
June 14, 2026 continuation check: FamilySearch did not return a direct 1906 death record for James G. Chambers Sr. The search did confirm the 1880 and 1900 census records, the 1873 Lowndes County marriage to Malinda Webb, and a Georgia death-index entry for Vesta Campbell naming James Chambers and Malinda Webb as parents. That helps one child trail, but Birdie Chambers, the 1901 property-owner identities, and the possible Webb-Chambers intermarriage remain open.
Status: Source-exhausted for available online sources. The 12-child reconstruction is usable when Geneanet is labeled as secondary and cross-checked against census and obituary evidence.
